American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a Progressive Care Unit assignment in Herrin, Illinois. The position requires an IL RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years PCU experience, with night shifts and a 13-week contract.

The travel RN will work in a hospital PCU, monitoring patients, documenting care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Shifts are 12 hours with flexible scheduling, and a tax-free stipend may apply.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent PCU nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or BCLS certification.
• Must maintain an active state RN license throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting.
• Provides care to patients requiring close monitoring between intensive and general medical-surgical care.
• Night shift position with variable scheduling.
• 13-week contract assignment.
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Must recognize and report changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment.
• Required to maintain accurate and complete medical records.
