Job summary

TotalMed RN in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Travel RN to work in the PCU - Progressive Care Unit (Med Surg) for a 13-week assignment. This travel role requires 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, and active RN licensure with BLS.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and must be prepared for high-acuity monitoring, IVs, dressings, and cardiac monitoring. Travel nurses receive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• 1 year of acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data
