The role emphasizes telemetry monitoring, rapid response readiness, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Licensure in Illinois, BSN, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR experience are required, with at least two years of PCU or similar care.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• BSN degree required.
• 2+ years of RN experience in PCU or similar unit (stepdown/intermediate care).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a PCU.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and detect changes, escalate as needed.
• Administer therapies including cardiac drips, blood products, and airway support.
• Perform line management (central/PICC/peripheral), wound care, and post‑procedure care.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV services and rapid response teams.
