Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, with ACLS and BLS certifications, and entails 12-hour days on a 36-hour week schedule.

As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will monitor patients requiring close observation but not ICU level care, using monitoring equipment to detect changes and respond to emergencies. Prioritization and patient safety are key in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
