Job summary

PEL/VIP is seeking a Travel RN to join our PCU in High Point, NC. This 12-hour day shift assignment runs for 12 weeks with a work expectation of 3 shifts per week, totaling about 36 hours weekly, and a gross weekly pay around $1,890.

EPIC is the charting system and there is support from CNAs, charge nurses, and a 24/7 rapid response team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in Cardiac Telemetry or PCU, current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and is able to interpret rhythm strips, manage arterial lines,

• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Tele or PCU experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Skills: Rhythm interpretation, arterial line management, chest tubes or drains care.

Assignment Overview

Join our progressive care unit as a Registered Nurse, where you will provide exceptional care to patients with a variety of cardiac and respiratory conditions, including post-STEMI and heart failure cases. Our ideal candidate has experience in cardiac telemetry or in a progressive care unit and is ready to deliver compassionate and continuous monitoring care.

Assignment Details

• Charting System: EPIC
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:3 or 1:4 depending on interventions
• Support within the Department: CNAs, Charge Nurse, Rapid Response Team, RT 24/7, Hospitalist 24/7
• Technology/Equipment: Philips Intellivue Monitors, Baxter IV Pumps, Omnicell Med Dispensing
• Floating: Within all IMC and med-surg units with a max of 4 patients
• Orientation: 36 hours week 1 includes NTO and Online CBL (Healthstream), 12-hour shift with RN Preceptor
