Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Denton, TX. The assignment runs 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek on a 12-hour night shift (7 PM–7 AM). You will care for stroke patients, cardiac drips and BiPAP cases, maintaining unit ratios and providing quality patient care.

Requirements include current RN license and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications. Prior PCU or similar experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting preferred.
• Charge nurse or preceptor experience is a plus.

Job Description

Join our team as a Travel Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) where you will provide specialized nursing care for stroke patients, cardiac drips, patients on continuous BiPAP, and post-procedure patients. Our unit maintains a patient ratio of 4:1, flexing to 5:1 during staffing shortages.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients requiring cardiac drips and bipap assistance.
• Perform tele monitoring and provide prompt care for stroke and post-procedure patients.
• Conduct emergent thoracentesis and other necessary procedures as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
