Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU for a 13-week assignment in Midland, Texas. The PACU RN will care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor waking patients, and assist with discharge or transfer.

Active RN license, degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS and ACLS, and 18 months of PACU experience are required. Weekly pay, housing options, health insurance, credentialing support and travel reimbursement are offered.

Responsibilities

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN assists in recovering patients from anesthesia.
• Monitors patients as they wake up and determines discharge or transfer.
• Provides care for post-operative patients including general, regional, and local anesthesia recovery.
• Perform ongoing monitoring, assessment, intervention and reassessment.
