Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Texas. The role requires 1 year of PACU experience, active RN license (TX or compact), and a BLS certification. Shifts run 8:00 AM–6:00 PM with on-call responsibilities, and a 13-week assignment length.

Travel-friendly benefits include housing allowance, travel reimbursements, and per diem support. Candidates outside a 50-mile radius are eligible; first-time travelers may be considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required.
• Current BLS certification required (not expiring within 30 days).
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Recovery (PACU) unit of a hospital setting.
• Variable shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• On-call responsibilities required.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the position.
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role.
