Gifted Healthcare in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse (PACU RN) to assess patients in the post-anesthesia state, monitor vital signs, and support families with discharge instructions.

Shifts are 3x12 nights. You will educate families, monitor respiratory status and cardiac conditions, and respond to post-operative changes in patient status with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Educate families and patients about homecare instructions
• Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities
• Assess patient’s condition after surgery is performed, ensuring that all vital signs are within range
• Monitor patient’s condition changes and report changes to the healthcare team
• Perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies
