MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Largo, Maryland. The RN will provide post-anesthesia care in PACU and monitor patients as they wake from anesthesia, with shifts of 12 hours in days, for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week.

Requirements include an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS and ACLS, and 18 months of PACU experience.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PACU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia in PACU.
• Monitor patients as they wake from anesthesia and determine disposition.
• Administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment and ongoing reassessment.

Duties Responsibilities

Post Anesthesia Care Unit / PACU RN will assist in recovering the patients from anesthesia. They also monitor patients while they wake up from surgery until they are released, either by discharge to outpatient or transfer to the floor for their patient stay.

• Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. Treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs.
• Administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
