Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Austin, TX. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS, and will involve 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities include caring for post-anesthesia patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and coordinating care from pre-op through recovery. Travel nurses should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Active RN license in Texas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Travel nurse commitment for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-anesthesia patients as they recover from surgery.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report changes to physician.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient conditions.
• Provide care for a broad age range from pediatrics to adults.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
