Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a PACU team in Plymouth, MA. This travel assignment offers 13 weeks of perioperative care in a hospital setting, with 6:00 am–4:30 pm shifts and weekend/holiday coverage.

You will manage airway, monitors, and patient recovery, collaborate with anesthesia and surgeons, and ensure safe handoffs. Active MA RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in MA at submission.
• Minimum 2 years PACU/preoperative experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; ENPC accepted as alternative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver post-anesthesia care in the PACU, including airway, breathing, circulation, and overall patient stability
• Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, pain levels, sedation, and recovery progress; recognize and respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensure safety and accuracy, and document administration in the patient record
• Prepare patients for discharge from PACU or transfer to the appropriate unit; provide handoffs to receiving teams
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and nursing colleagues to optimize patient safety and comfort
• Maintain equipment readiness, infection control standards, and accurate perioperative documentation
