Job summary

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a PACU RN to support premier facilities nationwide. In the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, you will monitor vital signs, manage recovery, and administer medications as needed to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN’s (PACU RNs) assess patients’ health in the pre-op state. PACU RNs are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications. PACU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Educate families and patients about homecare instructions


• Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities


• Assess patient’s condition after surgery is performed, ensuring that all vital signs are within range


• Monitor patient’s condition changes and report changes to the healthcare team
