Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU in Hyannis, Massachusetts for a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week. The role focuses on delivering patient care in the PACU using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring responses, and guiding support staff while upholding professional standards in a hospital setting. On-call duties extend to off-shift, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current MA RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Successful passage of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER or PACU/SDC preferred.

Job Summary:

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is located in a hospital setting. This role involves delivering patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will administer and monitor responses to medications, direct patient care activities, and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
• currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification;
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification;
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification;
• successful passage of a Pharmacology exam;
• successful passage of a Basic Arrhythmia Program or challenge exam;
• ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English;
• demonstrated skills in intravenous (I.V.) starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care;
• one (1) year recent experience in ICU, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Cardiac Pulmonary ICU (CVPA), Emergency Room (ER), or Surgical Data Center (SDC)/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN);
• prior SDC or PACU experience within the last 5 years.
