Job summary

Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in St. Augustine, Florida. The role focuses on delivering outpatient PT services under the supervision of licensed therapists, with a 40-hour work week.

You will implement treatment plans, lead therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and document sessions while coordinating with the care team. Eligible candidates hold a PTA credential, NPTE, FL licensure, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PTA program.
• Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
• FL PTA licensure/certification.
• First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
• Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
