Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Outpatient Rockville. The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This solo-site role includes 60-minute evaluations, 45-minute treatments, patient and family education, clinical documentation, and coordination of discipline-specific therapy services.

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
  • At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Current professional licensure in good standing

  • Completes comprehensive patient evaluations and establishes treatment goals focused on progression toward discharge.
  • Provides individualized functional treatment programs supporting patients return to community activities.
  • Completes clear, accurate, and timely medical record documentation, including treatment goals, functional quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
  • Provides care under valid physician orders and applicable insurance authorization.
  • Educates patients, families, students, and colleagues.
  • Participates in student education and supervision when assigned.
  • Follows applicable state practice requirements, regulatory standards, professional codes of conduct, safety procedures, and confidentiality expectations.
  • Pursues continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and maintains a safe care environment.
