Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history to treat orthopedic patients at a multi-disciplinary medical center.

The assignment is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with a dayshift schedule, and includes patient/family education and care planning within an outpatient, multi-disciplinary setting in Baltimore.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PT experience within the last 7 years.
• At least 1 previous travel assignment required.
• Current BLS certification.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with orthopedic conditions (DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, hip/knee injuries, low back pain, OA).
• Proficiency with crutches, gait belts, walkers, slings.
• Experience applying modalities (cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, TENS).
• Skilled in evaluations, plans of care, goals, and reassessments.

Responsibilities

Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history to treat orthopedic patients at a multi-disciplinary medical center.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within a multi-disciplinary medical center
• Patient population ranges from teens to older adults with a mix of non-surgical and post-operative orthopedic cases
• 5x8 day shift schedule with flexible start and end times between 8:00 and 17:30
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience within the last 7 years required
• At least 1 previous travel assignment required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, hip and knee injuries, low back pain, osteoarthritis, and post-op spinal, shoulder, and cervical surgery
• Proficiency with assistive devices and equipment such as crutches, gait belts, walkers, and slings
• Experience applying modalities including cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, and TENS
• Skilled in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, short/long term goals, and reassessments
• Charting system experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, home exercise program development, and patient/family education
• Site offers physician support and scenic views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor
• Sports medicine experience preferred
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with none allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment
• 60-mile radius applies for determining local candidate status
