Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist to join our team for a Baltimore, MD assignment. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and implement plans of care, and collaborate with the care team in an acute care setting.

The right candidate will have at least 6 months experience (1 year preferred), BLS, and state licensing. Expect 40 hours per week with a travel-friendly schedule and tax-free stipends as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification and state-specific physical therapist licensing required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform bending/stooping as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff; bill within the setting per facility guidelines.
• Coordinate with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-based care.
• Understand and apply state PT board rules and regulations; document per state/insurance guidelines.
• Use center computer systems to complete daily tasks and documentation.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Baltimore, MD.

The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Pay package

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Tasks

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing. Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
