Zusammenfassung

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Fruita, Colorado. The position is 13 weeks long, with 40 hours per week on dayshift (8-hour shifts).

You will work under supervision of an OT to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living and work skills, with tasks including therapy activities, progress monitoring, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification; state licensure required.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
