Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy unit. A Master's degree is required with at least 1 year of experience. Active OT license is required if applicable, BLS is mandatory, and NBCOT/QI credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• 1 year of experience minimum required.
• Active state OT license is required if applicable.
• BLS certification required (AHA, must not expire before start).
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• QI credentialing preferred.
• Physically able to perform hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy unit setting.
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Weekend coverage as needed with advanced notice.
• No on-call requirements.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Assess and evaluate patient conditions according to physician orders and current standards of practice.
• Provide direct treatment interventions based on established plans of care.
• Educate and train patients and caregivers.
• Accept caseload assignments and productivity standards from Director or Team Lead.
• May supervise and train students, COTAs, and Aides.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and clinical meetings.
• Document patient status through written chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Maintain strong interdisciplinary team relationships.
• Record daily charges per department billing guidelines.
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before eligibility for this travel assignment.
