Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and develop comprehensive care plans for individuals with diverse disabilities in acute care settings.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, creating treatment plans, guiding patients through activities, and educating families and employers. Applicants should have NBCOT-OTR certification, state licensure, and BLS, with at least 6 months of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred).
• BLS certification required.
• NBCOT-OTR certification required.
• State licensure required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Review medical histories and evaluate patient needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Assist patients in performing activities and therapies.
• Assess home and work environments for safety and accessibility.
• Educate families and employers on care strategies and equipment use.
• Document patient progress following guidelines.
