Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Miller, South Dakota. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and implement treatments to help patients regain daily living skills in an acute care setting.

Requirements include 1 year of experience preferred, or 6 months for exceptional candidates, plus BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensing, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• OTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and have knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities.
• Assist patients in performing tasks and improving daily living skills.
• Evaluate home/workplace for potential improvements and educate family/employers.
