Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Petaluma, California. This 13-week assignment requires a 40-hour week with day shifts and a travel employment type.

The OT will evaluate and develop plans of care for patients to improve daily living skills in an acute care setting. Certification and licensing requirements include BLS and NBCOT-OTR, with state-specific licensing.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Help patients with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate home or workplace for potential improvements based on health needs.
• Educate family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on its use.
• Record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians.
