  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting project progress, quality, and compliance results.
  • Oversee and direct the work of field crews and subcontractors onsite to ensure quality and safety.
  • Review permits and ROW requirements for compliance.
  • Support project management with real-time field updates and site condition information.

ADB is seeking a Field Inspector to conduct daily quality inspections on various construction projects to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards, reviewing project plans to confirm adherence to customer specification. The ideal candidate brings a proven knowledge of utility construction standards and best practices, with a strong work ethic and an ALL IN mindset to drive results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct onsite inspections for construction projects of various sizes and scopes
  • Inspect workmanship, materials, and installation practices for compliance with project requirements
  • Identify deficiencies, safety concerns, or production issues and communicate findings to project teams
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and field personnel to address project issues
  • Review permits, right-of-way (ROW) requirements, and jurisdictional regulations for compliance
  • Support project management teams with real-time field updates and site condition information
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting project progress, quality, and compliance results
  • Work with vendors and subcontractors to address quality concerns and reinforce standards
  • Provide supporting documentation for installation verification and customer billing requirements
  • Oversee and direct the work of internal field crews and external subcontractors onsite, exercising independent judgment to assign work, set priorities, evaluate performance against quality and safety standards, and direct corrective action to ensure project execution meets ADB and customer requirements
  • Contributes to team KPI’s to align to the overall department and team scorecard success
  • Upholds ADB’s safety culture, leads by example, and drives a philosophy of ZERO throughout the entire organization
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer, and fall weather combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • When working on site, will be required to wear common PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hart hat, and safety-toed boots
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • 1-3+ years of technical field experience required
  • 0-1+ years of field leadership experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel nationwide is required

The pay for this position ranges between $60,000 and $100,000 and is based on the candidate's skillsets and experience.
