Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel First Assist Technician Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role supports cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve repair, as a Certified First Surgical Assistant in a hospital setting.

The schedule is dayshift, 40 hours per week, with start times around 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and weekend/on-call rotations. Candidates should have Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience and CSFA/CFA/SA-C credentials or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience with Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro.
• CSFA, CFA or SA-C certification required.
• Experience in cardiac open heart first assist procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR and thoracic surgeries.
• Assist the main operating room team and work on a unit with multiple CVORs.
• Adhere to hospital dress code and policies; weekend and on-call rotations involved.
