Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Operating Room RN traveling nurse for a Midland, TX assignment. The role involves circulating or scrub RN duties, supporting physicians, and delivering pre- and post-operative patient care. You will work in a dynamic OR environment and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and education.

The position is a 13-week travel assignment, 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts. ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications and 2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH, 2 Years
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' family and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan for medication and home care needs.
• Respond to comfort and safety needs; monitor equipment during surgery.
