Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Lumberton, North Carolina. The position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties.

Start date 10/04/2026, duration 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. The OR Travel Nurse will support physicians and staff, perform perioperative tasks, and educate patients and families on post-op care while meeting certification

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• RN first assistant experience is a plus.
• BLS and CPI certifications required or pending.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care to surgical patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Communicate with patients' families and operating room team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Educate patients and families on home care needs.
• Support circulating/scrub RN duties and instrument handling.
• Assist physicians and monitor patient during surgery.
