Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an OR travel nurse in Detroit, MI to support operating room activities. The role involves assisting physicians, circulating or scrub nursing duties, and possibly RN first assistant responsibilities. You will work 10-hour days on a 13-week assignment, with a tax-free stipend to be determined and a 40-hour work week.

The RN should have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and ACLS/BLS certifications. Prior OR experience as circulating or scrub nurse is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS Certifications required.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred as circulating or scrub nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed and patient education is provided.
