Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse (RN) for an assignment in Grand Rapids, MI. The role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant and will involve 12-hour night shifts on a travel basis.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and staff in the operating room, providing pre- and post-surgery education, and ensuring safe patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications required.
• 2 years of acute care or OR experience preferred.
• RN license in good standing for Michigan or active GA requisition when traveling.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and the OR team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed for each patient.
• Educate patients and families on medications and home care.
