Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room for a Level 1 trauma center in Atlanta, GA. The travel assignment requires prior travel nursing experience and a high skills checklist with neuro and vascular competencies.

The position features a 10-hour day shift (4x per week), travel requirements including weekend coverage, and start date September 21, 2026 for 13 weeks. Local candidates may be considered at travel rate.

Qualifications

• Active RN license GA or Compact.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Level 1 trauma center experience required.
• High rating on skills checklist including neuro and vascular competencies.
• Proven success in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments.
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations.
• Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases.
• Must have personal electronics to access scheduling and communication apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide OR nursing care in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center.
• Work 10-hour day shifts, four days per week.
• Provide call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required.
• No block scheduling; travel staff to work four weekend shifts monthly.
• Use Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard for scheduling and communication.
