Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a Boise, Idaho assignment. This role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as either circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties.

Travel position spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift. The OR Travel Nurse assists surgical teams, handles pre- and post-surgical education, and may perform circulating or scrub duties.

Qualifications

• 1 year acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications as directed.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and the operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
