Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN in Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and the opportunity to work in a busy OR setting while delivering high-quality perioperative care. Requirements include one year OR RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS.

Preferred certifications such as CNOR, ACLS or PALS may be required by the facility. Travel pay and benefits are provided by Fusion.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Current RN license in the appropriate state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Position patients for surgery and ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Assist in providing instruments and support to the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitor patient status and document significant changes during surgery.
• Restock and clean the OR between cases following turnover protocols.
