Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in New York, NY. This 9-week assignment starts 10/26/2026, offering 34 hours per week with days shifts in the operating room.

The OR RN will prepare the OR, assist in procedures, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with the surgical team in a facility setting. Requires 1 year OR experience and NY RN license with BLS; additional certifications may be preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current RN license in NY and valid BLS certification.
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
• Assists in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments promptly.
• Monitors patient status during surgery and documents changes.
• Handles and disposes of instruments and specimens per protocol.
