ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Start ASAP; 40 hours per week; 8-hour daytime shifts; travel employment.

The Surgical RN will provide perioperative care in a fast-paced OR, lead and collaborate with the team, and support general, orthopedic, and trauma cases with strong aseptic technique and patient safety focus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS/ACLS certification; PALS preferred.
• 2–3 years OR/surgical experience; orthopedic focus preferred.
• Travel experience and strong communication skills are required.

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekday and weekend call rotation and holiday call rotation as needed.

Job Description

The Surgical Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room environment. This role requires effective leadership and teamwork in a fast-paced setting, handling a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing care to patients pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and communicate effectively regarding patient care.
• Be proactive in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in call rotation and be available to respond to call-backs as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of experience in the surgical specialty is required.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.
• Must have strong orthopedic experience.
• Valid RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and robotics preferred.
