Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Shreveport, LA. This travel role requires 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts. Start ASAP, job ID #1462814, and tax-free stipends may apply.

You will work as a circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant in the OR and support pre- and post-operative patient care. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care OR experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIH certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse, and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients and provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Perform circulating or scrub duties; manage instruments, equipment, and patient monitoring.
• Provide basic bedside care, administer medications, and document treatment.
• Educate patients and families on home care and post-operative needs.
