Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications preferred.
• OR Nursing CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field throughout procedures and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors the patient's condition during surgery and documents changes for the surgeon.
• Documents perioperative care and participates in handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Cleans and restocks the operating room between cases following turnover protocols.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure policy compliance and safe operating room practices.
