Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Hanford, CA. You will join a dedicated clinical team, enjoy competitive weekly pay, and participate in a comprehensive benefits package.

The OR RN will perform perioperative patient care, prepare the OR, manage equipment, and collaborate with surgical staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for each procedure
• Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control protocols
• Anticipate team needs and provide instruments and supplies
• Monitor patient status and document changes during surgery
• Handle instruments and dispose of supplies per protocol
• Manage specimen labeling and transport per procedures
• Document patient care in perioperative records
• Participate in handoff communication before and after surgery
• Restock and clean the OR between cases
• Collaborate with team to adhere to policies and standards
• Follow PPE and infection prevention rules
