Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks an OR travel nurse (RN) for Med Surg in Menomonee Falls, WI. Responsibilities include assisting surgical teams, providing pre/post-op care, and performing circulating/scrub duties. Requires 1–2 years acute care, ACLS/BLS, and ability to handle patient education and post-op care.

Travel role with 13-week duration and 36 hours weekly. OR RN travel nurses may be assigned to circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant duties.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• Travel assignment duration: 13 weeks with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties as assigned.
• Prepare instruments and assist with procedures.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications.
• Educate patients and families on post-op care and medications.
