TotalMed is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse to join a staffing assignment in El Paso, Texas. The RN will provide circulating, scrubbing, or first‑assistant support, depending on assignment, for a 12‑week engagement.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and are able to work 8‑hour evening shifts at 40 hours per week. Travel nurses receive weekly pay, guaranteed hours, education help, and medical benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience as OR nurse.
• Ability to perform circulating, scrubbing or first-assistant duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care in the OR setting.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients, family and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate and explain postoperative care plans to patients and families.
