Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel contract in Newburgh, Indiana. This on-site position requires strong perioperative skills, EPIC charting proficiency, and the ability to support a variety of surgical procedures including GYN oncology and robotics.

Candidates must have at least 2 years in OR nursing, an active Indiana RN license, BLS and ACLS, and an Associate degree (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent Operating Room, OR, perioperative, or surgical nursing experience.
Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Associate degree or nursing certificate required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
Prepare patients, equipment, supplies, and the operating room for scheduled procedures.
Support GYN surgery, including GYN oncology and urogynecology procedures.
Participate in robotic surgery, plastics, and selected general surgery cases.
Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the surgical team.
Document accurately in EPIC and maintain infection control standards.
Contribute to a respectful, efficient, patient-focused OR environment.
