Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room/PACU travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. You will provide perioperative nursing care, monitor patients through the surgical continuum, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team.

This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week, 4x10 shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) with on-call every third weekend; start date 09/14/2026. CA RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS required.

Qualifications

• Active California registered nursing license
• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Certifications: BLS; ACLS and PALS required
• Experience: Minimum 3 years OR/PACU nursing experience
• Willingness to meet facility vaccination and health requirements; E-Verify may be needed

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and to PACU patients
• Monitor patient status during perioperative periods, administer medications, and document care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team for planning and discharge
• Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument turnover, and support safety protocols
• Assist with patient/family education, pain management, and post-anesthesia recovery needs
