Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Silver City, NM. The role involves preparing the OR, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the surgical team throughout perioperative care.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of OR RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS. ACLS/PALS or CNOR are preferred. Travel benefits and competitive pay are available.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing required.
• One year of OR RN experience preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Anticipates needs, provides instruments and supplies to the team to maintain workflow.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates changes to the surgeon.
• Documents all perioperative care accurately and conducts handoffs pre- and post-operatively.
