Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Operating Room travel assignment in Vail, Colorado. The role focuses on perioperative care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

The position offers a 13-week contract with 32 guaranteed hours per week, starting 09/28/2026, and weekly pay ranging from $2,257 to $2,434. CAPS background check may be required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or a valid compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Colorado CAPS background check may be required; processing may take up to two weeks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced OR/perioperative setting and participate in a 3x12 shift schedule.
• Willingness to travel and accept a temporary travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
• Administer medications, assist in procedures, and uphold patient safety and sterile technique
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and post-anesthesia recovery, documenting care and responses
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to maintain efficient, safe patient flow
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care, expectations, and discharge instructions

Education
