Job summary

Healthforce is hiring a Registered Nurse, Operating Room for a travel assignment in Helena, Montana. Start date 11/15/2026 for 13 weeks with weekly pay and guaranteed 40 hours per week. The shift is 10-hour days, four days per week in a hospital setting.

The role involves perioperative circulating OR nursing across multiple specialties, with a focus on patient safety and adherence to OR protocols. Epic EMR familiarity and travel experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state of practice).
• Minimum 2 years OR experience.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Epic EMR experience or familiarity.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care as a circulating OR nurse across multiple specialties.
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare the OR, manage instrumentation and supplies.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, assist anesthesia and surgical team.
• Document intraoperative events and patient information in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Ensure patient safety, chart accuracy, and adherence to OR protocols; participate in turnover and equipment readiness.
• Participate in on-call coverage as assigned; may require call for holidays.
