Job Summary

The Operating Room (OR) Circulate specialty position is located within the surgical department of a healthcare provider. This role involves assisting in a variety of elective and emergency procedures, ensuring the smooth flow of surgical cases throughout the day. The position requires an experienced OR circulator to support after-hours call services, including nights, holidays, and weekends. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking skills and a focus on surgical case efficiency.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska; 3 years of Operating Room (OR) circulator experience; Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)); high school diploma or GED; position start date is no earlier than 10/26/2026; valid Alaska RN license required at time of submission; flu vaccine required
• Preferred Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms is strongly preferred
• Additional Information: The position involves handling elective and emergency surgical cases across multiple disciplines including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and obstetrics/gynecology. The role uses after-hour call services to staff the operating rooms during nights, holidays, and weekends.
