Job summary

US Eye is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our surgical practice. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, demonstrate empathy, and build strong connections with patients while supporting our physicians with scribing, patient work-ups, vision testing, refraction, and technical testing such as visual fields and OCT.

This traveling role covers Washington NC, Kinston NC, Elizabeth City NC and Kitty Hawk NC, with travel to other locations as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
• High school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Scribing and patient work-up.
• Vision testing and refraction.
• Assisting the physician in the exam room.
• Conducting visual field and OCT testing.
• Applying medical terminology accurately.
