Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician Operating Room. This position supports surgical procedures across orthopedic, spine, trauma, urology, gynecology, urogynecology, vascular, general, neurosurgical spine, and select ear, nose, and throat specialties. The role requires Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system experience, participation in scheduled call coverage, and the ability to work in a block schedule.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience; National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; community hospital experience; compact license in hand at submission; demonstrated experience in orthopedic procedures, total joints, spine, trauma, urology, gynecology, urogynecology, vascular, general surgery, and neurosurgical spine; Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic robotic surgery, gynecologic robotic surgery, gastrointestinal robotic surgery, urologic robotic surgery, vascular procedures, colorectal procedures, and complex orthopedic and spine cases.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with block scheduling and call coverage averaging one weeknight per week and one weekend per six-week schedule.
• Additional Information: Expected patient ratio is 1:1. The role may provide emergency coverage for the obstetric operating room with support. The position involves an average daily surgical case volume of approximately 30 cases and may include adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Three of five designated holidays may be required.
