Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Jersey City, New Jersey. This travel assignment requires circulating, scrubbing, and robotic/ENT experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center.

The start date is 12/29/2025 with a 13-week duration, three 12-hour night shifts per week, and optional travel and licensure reimbursements. Local candidates are welcome; pay includes a tax-free stipend and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration.
• Minimum of two years current acute care OR experience required.
• Robotic and ENT experience required.
• Must be able to both circulate and scrub.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Required to take call two times per schedule
• Patient mix includes all OR specialties except Open Heart
• Robotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgeries performed
• Must be capable of circulating and scrubbing
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation
• Scrubs are provided
• Floating requirements are not specified
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Provide circulating and scrubbing duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Returning employees must have been gone from the health system for at least one year
• Holiday coverage may be required based on hospital needs
• Team support provided through experienced OR staff
• Background check must be clear of open or active issues
• Dress code includes provided hospital scrubs
