Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room in Oklahoma City, OK. The assignment requires neuro, ortho, robotics and liver transplant experience with an active OK license.

Expect three 12-hour day shifts (Fri-Sun) 7 am–7 pm, with on-call one night per week and during holidays. You may float within the system up to 75 miles and across facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active OK or compact RN license at time of application.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience including neuro, ortho, robotics, liver transplant.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred.
• Must pass EKG/Dysrhythmia competency testing if offered.
• Driver’s license or state ID and a utility bill showing address >75 miles from facility.
• Only candidates not employed at the facility in the past year are eligible.
• Submit two supervisory references.
• No license disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital OR with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Handle neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases.
• Manage 16 staffed OR beds with about 60 cases daily.
• Three 12-hour shifts, Fri–Sun, 7 am–7 pm.
• On-call one night per week and for holidays; one Friday call shift.
• May float within scope to other areas and sister facilities within 75 miles.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Circulate and scrub for complex surgical cases.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant experience, along with an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Handles neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases
• 16 staffed OR beds with an average daily census of 60 cases
• Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7 am to 7 pm
• On-call required one night per week and for holidays, with at least one Friday call shift
• Requires floating within scope to other areas and to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of complex surgical cases
• First-time travelers are considered for this assignment
• All staff must be willing to float within the health system and up to 75 miles to other facilities if needed
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no holiday time off granted
• Modules must be completed during orientation as assigned
• No block scheduling is permitted for this contract
• Scrub attire requirements align with hospital policy

Requirements
