Travel OR RN is needed for a 13 week assignment to start ASAP in a hospital located in North Carolina. Shifts start at 6:45am. The RN will perform the primary functions of a Perioperative/Perianesthesia Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the Operating Room/PACU/Outpatient Services/pre-op interview/pre-op prep areas during their shift. Must meet AORN and ASPAN Standards of Nursing Practice. Circulates between the OR suites, Procedure Room and Endo Suite. Provides moderate sedation/monitoring as needed in other Departments. Carries out Infection Control policies and procedures. Ensures active communication with patients and families, staff, supervisors, physicians, and other hospital departments. Utilizes HIM site. Processes information on the hospital's health information system as required in performing job responsibilities. Assists in reviewing and maintaining department policies.
